GIFTED AND TALENTED NOMINATIONS

 

ONALASKA ISD ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR 

              GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAM

 

Nominations will be accepted for Onalaska Independent School District’s Gifted and Talented Program for the 2020-2021 school year.

The Onalaska Gifted and Talented Program is committed to meeting the needs of students who demonstrate above average potential or achievement.

Students at Onalaska ISD may be nominated for the Gifted and Talented program during the district nomination phase by teachers, counselors, parents, or self-nomination for students (only Grades 6th-12th ). This process includes multiple and specific criteria as required by the Texas Education Agency.

The nomination window is Monday, February 1, 2021-February 26, 2021.

Nomination forms will be available at each OISD campus or online. 

The nomination forms should be returned to the school counselor’s office.

 

Nominations:

Kindergarten is due by Wednesday, February 10, 2021. 

Grades 1st-12th is due by Friday, February 26, 2021.

 

Qualifying Notification To Parent/Guardian:  

Kindergarten students will be notified by Friday, February 26, 2021. 

Grades 1st-12th will be notified by Friday, April 2, 2021.  

 

NOTE:  If your child is currently in the Onalaska Gifted and Talented Program, they do not need to be re-nominated.
