Gifted and Talented Nomination
ONALASKA ISD ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAM
Nominations will be accepted for Onalaska Independent School District’s Gifted and Talented Program for the 2022-2023 school year. The Onalaska Gifted and Talented Program is committed to meeting the needs of students who demonstrate above average potential or achievement.
Students, grades 1st-12th, at Onalaska ISD may be nominated for the Gifted and Talented program during the district nomination phase by teachers, counselors, parents, or self-nomination for students (only Grades 6th-12th ). This process includes multiple and specific criteria as required by the Texas Education Agency.
The nomination window is February 22,2023-March 10,2023. Nomination forms will be available at each OISD campus or you can print a copy HERE. The nomination forms should be returned to the school counselor’s office.
Nominations:
Grades 1st-12th are due by Friday, March 10, 2023.
Qualifying Notification To Parent/Guardian:
Kindergarten students will be notified by Wednesday, February 28, 2023.
Grades 1st-12th will be notified by Wednesday, April 28, 2023.
NOTE: If your child is currently in the Onalaska Gifted and Talented Program, they do not need to be re-nominated.
